Despite higher flows, the northeast and north are still below the long-term average
The ONS, or National System Operator, reviewed its projections for accumulated Natural Affluent Energy in June.
The forecast is up in all sub-markets due to optimistic flow expectations all over the National Integrated System (SIN).
Flows in the southeast/middle-west and south remain above the long-term average -113% and 330% respectively. In the north and northeast, flows should be below the long-term average – 34% and 64% respectively.
Affluent natural energy is energy that can be obtained from natural river flows.
