Low rainfall in the forecast influences this scenario
The ONS, or National System Operator, disclosed its projections for accumulated Natural Affluent Energy in August.
The forecast for affluent natural energy remains below the long-term average in all submarkets.
The situation in the southeast/middle-west is a bit better, with flows expected to be 78% of the long-term average. The situation is worse in the northeast, where they are only 34%, well below the long-term average.
This is the result of lower rainfall and a forecast of dry weather in August.
Affluent natural energy is energy that can be obtained from natural river flows.
